Turriff Academy is currently undergoing roof repair work.  This is scheduled to continue until April.

This will affect the traffic flow and parking around the School.

On Monday 20th January, there will be a one way system in place on Victoria Terrace. Scaffolding is being erected at the school, which will intrude onto Victoria Terrace, so it will be single file traffic only,. The direction flow is from A947 toward the school.

Contraflow will be here first thing ( before 8am) to put up the traffic restrictions, notices etc.

So for most arriving on Monday, the one way system is likely to be  already be in effect.

It is anticipated this will be for 6 weeks.

There will be a 1 metre walkway where the scaffolding is on Victoria Terrace – similar as to what is currently in place on Victoria Street.    

The scaffolding will mean not enough room for all the school buses to line up as usual at the end of the school day.  To mitigate this, parking will be restricted on Victoria Terrace itself to the east of school hill.  This is to allow bus parking at the end of the school day.

The 4 buses which will sit to the east of School Hill on Victoria Terrace for afternoon pick up are :

We would ask the any parents who bring their young person to school by car avoid this area and the use of the school car park and drop off/uplift at an alternative area away from the works.
