The Turriff Show is Scotland’s largest two-day agricultural event, held in the heart of Aberdeenshire.
Originally established in 1864 to complement the town’s traditional mart day, it has grown into a vibrant celebration that attracts around 24,000 visitors each year.
The show features over 300 exhibitor stands and 1,554 competitive classes covering everything from livestock such as cattle, sheep, and horses to working dogs, poultry, vintage vehicles, and more.
Managed by the Turriff District Agricultural Association, it also awards over £85,000 in prize money, showcasing both the region’s agricultural excellence and its rich community life.
This dynamic event unites farming professionals and non-farming enthusiasts alike through a diverse range of activities, fine food and drink, and displays of traditional arts and crafts, making it a cornerstone of rural celebration in North-East Scotland .
Turriff United Football Club, founded in 1954, is a senior Scottish football club based in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.
Originally established as a junior club, they have evolved into a proud Highland Football League side, playing their home matches at The Haughs—situated beside the River Deveron.
Affectionately known as "Turra," they remain an integral part of the local sporting community and a symbol of North-East Scottish football culture .
Turriff United FC are a fantastic friend to Turriff Academy, and many pupils go on to be signed by the club.

Turriff & District Heritage Society
Turriff & District Heritage Society is a volunteer-led membership organisation dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of Turriff and its surrounding district in Aberdeenshire.
Operating for over 40 years, the society works to safeguard local heritage—curating archival materials, managing museum collections, and hosting community events—to ensure that the cultural and historical legacy of the area remains accessible and engaging for future generations.
Headquartered in the Municipal Buildings on High Street in Turriff and registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), the society relies on the commitment of its members and generous donations to document and promote the community’s story.
For many locals, it serves not only as a guardian of the past but also as an educational resource and focal point for regional pride.
