Each unit is internally assessed and marked by the teacher. Learners must pass all units to achieve the course award. At the end of the course is the Added Value Unit (Business Assignment): This is a project-based assessment where students apply their knowledge and skills to investigate a business issue. It is also internally assessed and is essential for completing the course.
There is no final exam for National 4; instead, the focus is on continuous assessment and practical application.

Young Enterprise Scotland is a charity that empowers young people across Scotland to learn about business, enterprise, and entrepreneurship through hands-on, practical experiences.
